Fritz Henze is a member of Jones Day's energy specialized industry practice. He has been a Partner at the Firm since 1983, and his practice is concentrated in the representation of energy sector clients, including integrated gas and oil companies, pipelines, electric utilities, nonregulated electricity producers, as well as lenders to and investors in energy-related businesses and assets, and in the related areas of mergers and acquisitions, energy marketing and trading, project and corporate finance, leveraged leasing, investment funds, partnerships, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, commercial lending, and securities offerings.
He is a frequent speaker on industry topics, most recently at the 2004 Annual Forum on New York Power Supply, the Institute for Energy Law's 2004 55th Annual Oil and Gas Law Program, the Energy Council's 2003 Federal Energy and Environmental Matters Conference, and the ESAI – John Hopkins/SAIS International Petroleum Executive Seminar. In BTI Consulting Group's 2004 survey of corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 companies, he was recognized for his capability to provide superior client service.
He is also the author of numerous published articles and is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Law. In addition, he is a member of the Energy Bar Association, the Edison Electric Institute's Master Wholesale Power Purchase and Sale Agreement Drafting Committee, the State Bar of Texas, and the State Bar of Arizona.
